Once upon a time there was a man named Christopher Columbus.  He got lost while on a long journey. He found something interesting.  The European Nations (and the UK, too) all came over to check things out. They took what they liked. And settled where they liked, too. Unfortunately, they didn't ask permission from the Native Americans (current Politically Correct term for the American Indian) and, well, that's a whole different story. Technically, we should all go back where we came from and let the Native Americans have the place back. But where would we go? There are about 260,000,000 of us.
