Said the sign on O'Doul's Tavern when our boys entered. The entertainment had just begun when they arrived. A lovely lass was singing, "Kathleen Mavourneen".
Yannis thought, as he heard the song, "I wonder how many in here know she is singing of Old Ireland." Yannis' grandparents had passed many stories down to him regarding British tyranny. He knew in old Ireland, the Irish often sang of it as if it were a woman. This was so the British wouldn't know what they were singing about, for the Irish were not allowed to speak of Ireland while under British rule.
Ian wondered when the bloody screeching was
going to stop,
and where was the bloody barmaid, anyway!
Ioan was looking for a table.
John found one.
Sean had tears in his eyes as he heard the words the woman was singing. He thought of his boyhood home. And the girl he once promised pots of gold, as they sat on the hilltop watching the rainbow. He wondered if she was happy.

Scouse looked for a Guinness, found a beer, and sat with John.
