There were decorations all about the place saying:

Happy St. Paddy's Day

It was a very happy place indeed.

Soon some new lads arrived in a very good humor.
They were all from Liverpool.
Well known in this establishment, they were, too.

Before long the band began to play, "The Leaving of Liverpool".

Ioan made a date with the barmaid.

Ian was still wondering how long it would be before he bought a round.

Sean recalled the good time he had had visiting Liverpool.

John muttered something about Liverpool being the capitol of Ireland.

Yannis asked what he meant.

But there was silence at their  table when Scouse shot a glance at John.

And Scouse, well, after a few moments, he stood with the other lads from Liverpool and sang the words that always brought tears to his eyes.
